Morialta Falls

We went on a spontaneous morning trip to Morialta Falls not too long ago.  I don't think I've ever been there, unless I went there on a school trip and I just can't remember.
We spent a few hours in the morning having a nice walk and explore.  It was  quite a warm day, so we only spent a couple of hours exploring and taking photos.

Morialta Falls is a beautiful conservation park and protected area, which is about 10km north east of the Adelaide city.
If you love walking, nature, photography, then this is the place for you.  It has a narrow gorge with three waterfalls, some steep ridges and cliffs.
As it's summer here at the moment, the falls weren't happening.  So we are planning  to go back in the Autumn or winter to get some photos of the falls.

The funny thing is, when we parked up in the car park, I said "I hope we see a Koala!" We've never seen a Koala in the wild, so we were pretty excited to see if we could see any koalas.
We saw about 14 koalas!!!! They were all asleep or sleepy, but we could see them!!
Hubby took this shot of a mum and baby. Eyes are open but they look so sleepy!!

Here are some other photos that we took.

The photo above you will notice something a little different about the bee.... It has metallic blue bands on it's back.  This kind of bee is native to Australia.
We were told this by someone we came across during our walk.

Can't wait to go back in the cooler weather to check out the waterfalls.

New journey

I have started so many blogs in the past and have deleted them after a certain time.. simple reason for deleting them really, i've not liked them.

I've noticed that I always seem to follow what others are doing, and not truly posting what I enjoy. It then feels like posts are all over the place, and there's no feeling behind it all.

So seeing as it's nearly the end of 2018, I've decided to stop procrastinating and just get on with it.

Looking forward to making this my own...

Pamper time

I'm really into looking after myself more lately.  There's nothing like a good pampering after a busy day or hectic week.  It feels so relaxing and refreshing.
One thing I've been into is face masks.
There's a few different types around, but one that I am loving more at the moment are tissue masks.  These are so hydrating for the skin, and even more cooling if you put it in the fridge for a while before applying to your face.

What do you like to do to pamper or relax?

Hello Summer!

Hello Summer, my favourite time of year.
I was born on the 1st of March which technically isn't summer, but apparently it was still a hot day.
I love everything about summer, the heat, the beach atmosphere, everything.

What is your favourite season?

About Me

Welcome to my blog.

So a little about me...

I lived in the UK for about 6 years and have been back here in Adelaide Australia (where I was born) for 6 years now. I brought my now husband back with me. We got married here in Adelaide and have settled in our place which is quite close to the beach. Ever since I was little I wanted to live as close to the beach as possible.

We love the beach and the lifestyle, relaxation and atmosphere it brings.

So welcome to my little space here on the Internet where I will share many topics from lifestyle, photography, beauty & wellbeing, food and also some random thoughts too.

Lets see where this journey goes....
